Festival Aqua Park

We have organised a trip funded by recent Jack Petchey award winner grants to the Festival Aqua Park, Basildon (SS14 3WB) on Saturday 14thJuly starting promptly at 4.00 pm for an hour of fun and getting very, very wet on the inflatable adventure course on the lake!

Please arrive by 3.30pm to get bouyancy aids and costumes.  There are strict safety rules which must be adhered to so parents please make sure your child meets them so they are not disappointed on the day.  We want everyone to have a great time and enjoy a well deserved treat at the end of the school and swim year before the summer break.

Facilities include a changing cabin, lockers, cafe and sandy beach so the family can all watch and giggle at the fun.  Swimmers will need a costume, towel and sun cream if it’s sunny.  BOUYANCY AIDS ARE MANDATORY and centre staff will be there to observe/ensure safety, however, parents are ultimately responsible for their child as follows:

Under 10 years old– swimmer must have a parent or swim buddy over 18 in the water with them

Over 10 years old– parent must be on site during swim time.

No swimmers should be dropped off without parents.

The water is approximately 1m deep and although the website states a swimmer should be able to swim 50m unaided, the departure pontoon is very close to the inflatable area.  The inflatable fun area is in a corner of the lake rather than the main area where wakeboarding is carried out, so it is very safe and secluded.  If you have any concerns, please email me, visit their website or pop over there and have a look.

Don’t be late as you will miss splash time!!

Please add your name and age to the list in the Club room (and name of swim buddy if you are under 10 years old) so we can keep track of how many swimmers will be attending. Looking forward to a great day of fun in the sun and water of course!
Download a copy of the rules below.

Please put names down on the list in the clubroom.
