Safeguarding our club

The Welfare of everyone who attends our club is a priority.

At Runnymede Swimming Club we want to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the sport they enjoy and make every aspect an enjoyable time.

To help with this we have a set of Codes of Conduct which we ask all swimmers, parents and carers and the coaches and teachers to adhere to.

We ask that everyone is considerate to each other and any concerns are raised. Runnymede Swimming Club is run by volunteers and so we would ask that everyone is treated with politeness, courtesy, dignity and respect at all times.

Anyone who has a concern about the welfare of a child or the behaviour of an adult towards a child or young person under 18 years of age within Swim England, is required to refer it to the Swim England safeguarding team. The Swim England team is staffed by individuals who are experienced in dealing with these concerns and have undergone specific training for those who have a designated role in child protection within sports.

Referring a safeguarding issue can be done via our Club, County or Regional Welfare Officer.
